Doug and I have received a number of questions, some of which we will answer now, and perhaps more later. The following is a composite of some of these questions and our answers.
Q: Do you have any interest in rebooting Vision Forum, Inc. as a company?
A: No, our family company Vision Forum, Inc. is permanently closed for business. We have no interest in a reboot. Our catalog company was an important part of our lives for fifteen years, but we are in a new stage of our life and moving forward.
Q: Why the name change on the Facebook page to “After Vision Forum?”
A: Well, for one, it's our way of making it clear that we are here, but that chapter is closed.
Q: What are you going to use the “After Vision Forum” Facebook page for from now on?
A: We will repost articles and share stories which are of interest to our family.
Q: Are you interested in running a ministry, working in church leadership, or running for political office?
A: I have zero interest. (Doug)
Q: What is the resolution of the litigation?
A: Click here to see a statement and the court papers.
Q: Do you have any further comment on the conclusion of the litigation?
Q: What are you learning right now?
A: Patience, mercy, grace, understanding.
Q: What are you doing for work?
A: Our family is engaged in business in the private sector.
Q: How can we get in touch with you?
A: We can be reached at P.O. Box 700790, San Antonio, Texas 78270.
Q: Have there been any significant changes in your thinking?
A: Plenty. It is impossible to go through an experience like we have as a family over the last years without being challenged and deeply affected. We have real struggles and mountains to climb, but our faith is strong. And we are growing. We have a lot further to go and more to learn.
Q: Is there anything you would like to say to your critics?
A: Everyone has a right to an opinion. We wish them well.
Q: Is there anything you would like to say to your friends?
A: This is not the time or place to fully communicate the gratitude we feel to everyone who has reached out to us with love and charity. There are simply no words to describe what that has meant to us as individuals and as a family. We have never been so impacted by the power of kindness.
